FRAMINGHAM – The Keefe Technical’s boys cross-country team lost to the Panthers of Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School today, October 11 at Farm Pond Park.

The score was 18-44.

The Panthers had the first two runners to cross the finish line in the 3.1 mile race.

Eight of the first 10 runners across the finish line also were from Parker Charter.

The fastest runner for the Broncos was junior Connor Bingham in 18.57 minutes. He finished third overall.

Keefe Tech senior Liam Regan finished fifth overall and second for the Broncos in 20.24 minutes.

Third for Keefe Tech and 14th overall was junior Evan lewis in 21.32 minutes.

Senior Ayden Giombetti was 15th overall and fourth for the Broncos in 21.58 minutes.

Sophomore Connor Bakstran was fifth for the Broncos and 16th overall in 22.15 minutes.

Freshman Alex Steck was 20th overall in 24.01 minutes.

Junior Felix Marshall was 22nd overall in 24.21 minutes.

“Although both teams lost to Parker, a formidable team at the state level, it was a perfect day for racing and the boys and girls took advantage, with most of them notching season’s bests for the Farm Pond course,” said head coach Jeff Beling.

This was the last home meet for the Keefe Tech cross-country team.

Broncos are now 2-3 overall.

Next race is Saturday night at the Glennon Twilight Invitational in Falmouth.
