WAYLAND – Helen (Keyes) Richardson, of Wayland, 102, died peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

She was born in Caribou, Maine on September 24, 1920 the daughter of the late Orman Keyes and Carlotta (Pendell) Keyes.

Helen was the beloved wife of the late William Franklin Richardson who died on September 13, 2013.

Helen has resided in Wayland for the past ten years and previously resided in Framingham. For many years, Helen owned and operated her own Nail Salon on Newbury Street in Boston and later moved her clients to Framingham. While in Boston some of her clients were Julia Child, Faye Dunaway, while in Boston filming the Thomas Crown Affair, Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubenstein.

She was the author of a book on manicuring and the highlights of her long career as a Beautician and Manicurist.

Helen and her husband William loved to spend time in Maine especially at their residence on Long Lake in Naples, Maine.

At her request, there will be no funeral home visitations.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Richardson family lot in Lakeview Cemetery, 80 Commonwealth Road (Rt 30), Wayland with the Reverend Rebecca Cho of the Community United Methodist Church officiating.
