PAXTON – The Framingham State women’s soccer team was defeated by Anna Maria in a weather shortened game Tuesday night in Paxton 

Anna Maria won 3-0 in a 71-minute game.

Anna Maria is now 3-2 overall.

Framingham State is still seeking its first win and is 0-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The AMCATS broke the scoreless tie in the 33rd minute on a Valentina Villa goal.  
  • Right after the half the hosts extended their lead to 2-0 when Riley Michaud converted her attempt on net. Abigial Smith scored in the 61st minute to reach the final margin.  
  • Jetta Oskirko made seven saves in net for the Rams.  
  • Alice Yokabaskas made two saves in the 71 minutes of work for the hosts.  
  • The AMCATS held an advantage in shots 17-to-3, while the Rams led in corner kick opportunities 4-to-2.  

The Rams return to the pitch on Saturday morning when they host Westfield State to open up MASCAC play. The AMCATS host St Joe’s (ME) on the same afternoon.
