BOSTON – The Framingham State University volleyball team extended their season opening win streak to four matches as the Rams defeated Emmanuel 3-1 Tuesday evening at Yosinoff Court in Boston.

Framingham State 3, Emmanuel 1 (25-16, 25-14, 24-26, 25-15) 

Framingham State  improves to 4-0. Emmanuel drops to 1-2.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams took the first two sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-14 before falling 26-24 to the Saints in the third set. The Rams regrouped and closed the match 25-15 in the third set. 
  • The Rams were paced on the attack by a team-high 16 kills on Anna Szymanski who also added 11 digs and an ace. 
  • Hailey Sanders chipped in with nine kills on 15 attempts for a .400 hitting percentage, while Kate Petrosso added five kills in the match. 
  • Stella Bailey chipped in with 19 set assists and 10 digs in the match, while Isabel Henwood added 14 assists and a team-high 16 defensive digs. 
  • Malia Shields chipped in with 13 digs, while Petrosso also added four blocks on the evening. 

The Rams are back in action on Thursday night when they host Western New England 7 p.m.
