FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham State University men’s soccer team has finished second in the 2022 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Soccer Preseason Poll as voted upon by the eight MASCAC head coaches.
The Rams finished second in the MASCAC in 2021 with a 6-1 record in league play making another appearance in the MASCAC Title Game.
The Rams return four All-MASCAC selections from 2021. Kunphel Sinha was named United Soccer Coaches All- New England after leading the Rams with four goals and five assists for 13 points in 2021.

Sherak Ayamga also returns for the Rams after registering four goals and two assists and is also joined by fellow All-MASCAC selections Jared Nardizzi and Cameron Lau.
Also returning to the pitch for the Rams is 2018 & 2019 MASCAC Offensive Player of the Year Bryce Nardizzi who has scored 25 goals and 16 assists during his time with the Rams.
The 2021 Regular and Tournament Champions Salem State was selected to repeat as champions earning 49 votes and seven first place votes.

The Rams collected 42 points and the one other first place vote. Bridgewater State came in third place with 38 points followed by Worcester State with 27. MCLA came in the fifth spot with 22 points while Fitchburg and Westfield tied for the sixth spot with 16 points each. Mass Maritime rounded out the poll in the eight slot.
The Rams open the 2022 season when they travel to UMass Dartmouth on Thursday, September 1 for a 7 p.m. non-conference matchup.
