FRAMINGHAM – Friday was the final Community Corner of the summer. The 5th and final event was held at Arlington Street Playground in South Framingham on the border between District 8 & 9.

New this year, the Community Corner, offers field games, books, a reading corner, arts and crafts, and a touch-a-truck featuring fire trucks, cruisers, and police motorcycles.

The 2-hour drop-in program was organized by the Framingham Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Framingham Police Department, Framingham Fire Department, the Library Bookmobile, and the MetroWest YMCA.

This morning Framingham Police Officer Diaz played peek-a-boo while Officer Susan Macado held a baby from the neighborhood.

Many of the kids in the neighborhood wanted to explore the police cruiser and motorcycles on site, meet the officers, and have their photos taken with them.

SOURCE will post more photos from the final event over the weekend.
