FRAMINGHAM – HBO’s series Julia, about famed chef Julia Child, is filming season 2 in Framingham this month.

The HBO series filmed parts of season 1 in Framingham during the summer of 2021.

The 8-episode series premiered on HBO on March 31, 2022.

North Center Productions is filming in the Danforth Building this week and next week.

The series explores the life of the culinary chef and TV star Child, who pioneered the cooking-show genre on WGBH in Boston.

The show starts Sarah Lancashire as Julia Child and Frasier-alumni David Hyde Pierce as Paul Child, her husband.

Bebe Neuwirth and Judith Light appeared in season 1, along with special guests Isabella Rossellini and James Cromwell.

Child, died in 2004 at the age of 91. Julia Child’s kitchen, designed by her husband, was the setting for three of her television shows. It is now on display at the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.

Resident can expect to see some 1960s vehicles in and around the Danforth Building in downtown, where they are filming.
