FRAMINGHAM – Jean Marie (Gruppi) MacDonald, 78, of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday August 16, 2022 after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Framingham, she was the daughter of Henry Gruppi and Elsie May (Latown) Gruppi. Jean was a kind and gentle soul, and loved by all who had the privilege of meeting her.
A graduate of Framingham High School, homemaker and mother of two daughters. She loved books and was an avid reader. She also had a passion for cooking as well as flowers, plants and gardening.
She was a resident of Southborough for over 30 years, where she and her husband raised their two girls.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 43 years, John F MacDonald. She is survived by her two daughters, Beth A Strout of Northborough, Massachusetts and Kellee J MacDonald of Milford, Massachusetts; as well as three grandsons Justin Strout, Erik Strout, Brendan Hemenway and many extended family members.
The family will be holding private services in celebration of her life.
