BOSTON – Maura Healey today, August 15, released her first television ad of her campaign for Governor of Massachusetts.

“Teamwork” shares the story of Healey’s childhood, emphasizes her commitment to bringing people together, and outlines her plans to make Massachusetts more affordable. The ad includes photos and footage of her childhood home, playing basketball, and the many campaign stops across the state.

“I’ve stood with you as the People’s Lawyer, and now I’m running to be your Governor. I grew up one of five kids raised by a single mom, a school nurse. It wasn’t always easy,  but teamwork got us through. I believe in teamwork. I’ve seen it on the court and in the court as your Attorney General,” noted the video.

“As Governor, I’ll make Massachusetts more affordable. We’ll cut taxes, reduce costs in housing and transportation, improve education and make vocational training available so every student has the skills they need. Let’s do this together,” continued the video.

The ad will begin airing on broadcast, cable and streaming across Massachusetts on Tuesday, August 16.

Healey, the current Attorney General for the Commonwealth, is one of two names on the Democratic September 6 ballot for Governor. There are also two names on the Republican ballot for the September 6 primary.
