FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested a woman, 21, after she broke into a Framingham restaurant and stole items and caused damage, resulting in a $7,000 loss to the establishment.

Police arrested Briana Ramos, listed as “homeless” in the public police log, at 12:20 on Monday, July 25.

She was charged with breaking & entering at night (felony), larceny from building, larceny of $1,200-plus, malicious destruction of property at $1,200-plus.

On Monday, July 18 at 8:33 a.m. police were dispatched to a downtown Framingham restaurant for a report of a breaking & entering.

The owner of Kous Kous at 40 Hollis Street told police someone broke into his place after 9 p.m. after the restaurant closed. The owner said when he arrived the next morning the back door was wide open and items were stolen and he had a loss of food, as the refrigerators were discovered open.

The owner of the restaurant told Police the cash register, worth about $2,500 was stolen along with about $400 in cash.

Owner told police an Apple iPad and and a Panasonic landline telephone worth about $100 was stolen.

The owner said the refrigerators were left open and all the meat and food was spoiled – a loss of about $1,000.

“The whole place was rummaged through,” wrote police in the report.

On July 19, around 9:37 a.m. Framingham Police received an email from the owner of Kous Kous restaurant at 40 Hollis Street with video footage.

The video shows a woman inside the restaurant around 2 a.m., according to the police report.

One of the officers was able to identify Ramos from the video.

The owner of Kous Kous told police “all the wires were ripped out from his online computer system.”

The system is used to fill online order for the restaurant. The owner told police printers and other wires were also damaged. He estimated the cost at about $3,000.
