WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, July 20, Assistant Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and member of the Appropriations Committee Katherine Clark (MA-5) voted to advance a package of six funding bills that will help families and communities in the Fifth District and across America.

“Today, the House Democrats advanced a package of funding bills that will create green jobs, lower energy costs, expand access to affordable housing and food assistance, invest in veteran health care and military family support services, and so much more,” said Assistant Speaker Clark. “This budget package will make life easier for working families, lower costs, and pave the way for a stronger, more sustainable future for all Americans.”

The package also includes funding for eight local community projects which were selected in collaboration with state and local leaders in the Fifth District.
