FRAMINGHAM – Week 5 of the re-vamped Framingham Farmers’ Market will see the addition of live music, weather permitting.

The market is 3 to 7 p.m. at the Framingham Centre Common. Food trucks are expected to arrive earlier around noon.

“Last week we had a similar weather forecast with possible thunderstorms and we made it through with clear blue skies all day. The market will be open unless we are in the middle of a storm…our vendors have prepared items and things are fresh on market day! Don’t let a little 90+ degree heat keep you away,” said market manager Bill Sell.

The duo Antarctica is scheduled to play 60s and 70s pop covers, said Sell.

“They will be performing a couple of sets right in the middle of things. Over the next few weeks we will be including other unique programs including more music,” said Sell.

Three farms are scheduled for Thursday, July 21. They are Heavens Harvest Certified Organic Farm, Wild Robbins Farm and Silverwood Organic Farm.

“We will have all greens kales, chards, collards, dandelion, corn, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, lettuces, cabbage, cherry tomatoes, spring onions…peaches and plums in limited quantities as these are just coming into season,” said Sell..

Parking is available in many lots surrounding the Centre Common, said Sell.

“With summer programs underway at the Danforth we ask our patrons to please not use the rear Danforth lot until 4:30 p.m.; all other available lots are marked with Framingham Farmers Market parking signs. Vernon Street is now all no parking (except a set of vehicles from the bakeries as they keep additional product in their vehicles). Road construction has made Vernon Street challenging to allow parking,” added Sell.
