WALTHAM – Carol Ann Blair, 80, of Waltham passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 7, 2022.

Beloved wife of Lester Blair for 51 years.

Loving mother of Leslie Castillo of Wayland and her husband Cesar. Grandmother of Daniel and Thomas
Castillo. Also survived by her loving sisters and brothers, and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was born to the late Anthony and Thomasina Panaggio of Newton and was educated in the Newton public schools. Carol worked at Rotek Corp and played an essential role in the company’s success during her many years of dedicated service.

Carol was beautiful inside and out and was happiest when helping others. Whether baking their favorite treat or selecting the perfect gift, Carol was always someone people could count on. She rejoiced in the role of grandmother and referred to her grandsons as “my boys”. She never missed their chorus concerts, swim meets, regattas or important events. Carol had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed visiting the beach and shopping. She was an avid reader and a great dancer.

Carol had a take charge personality and no project was too daunting. She relished family events and socializing with friends and family. Carol also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and could be found on the deck, watching the birds and listening to music.

A celebration of Life will be held in her honor for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to St. Jude’s.
