FRAMINGHAM – Allan W. Young, 80, a longtime resident of Framingham, and a devoted son, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2022 surrounded by his family after a long illness.

He is survived by his daughter Jodi Pomeranz, her husband Paul and their children Samantha and Justin, his son Patrick Young his wife Angela and their children Isabella and Anthony, his brother Larry and his sisters Andrea, Pam and Dorothy, and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Larry and Dorothy and his brothers Bruce and Roger.

Allan will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his fierce love and loyalty to his children and grandchildren. He had an undying love for Boston sports teams, no matter their record. He loved Vermont, particularly Island Pond. Music was also a huge part of his life. He could listen to almost anything but he loved country and the oldies the most.

He worked very hard at Sears, Child World, Wonder Bread and finally retired from Roche Bros.

Allan was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends will honor and remember Allan’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy McKinney and Lawler Funeral Home on Saturday, June 25 from 2-6 p.m. A time of reflection and memories will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a reception. Interment will be private.
