FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public Schools, in collaboration with the Cooler Communities Program and the City of Framingham are proud to announce that Framingham’s first Cooler Communities Fair will be held at Harmony Grove Elementary School.

The event is Saturday May 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition to showcasing exhibits and materials developed by Framingham Public School students on climate change, energy efficiency, and related subjects, this small-scale pilot event will feature several vendors, service providers, and community experts who will be available to talk with attendees on high-impact actions to become more energy efficient, reduce their energy costs, and adopt clean energy solutions that work for them.

The fair will also include fun recreational activities for children like outdoor lawn games as well as an appearance by the Framingham Public Libraries’ Bookmobile, weather permitting.

The event has been supported by the FPS Office of Equity, Diversity, and Community Engagement, the FPS Community Resource Development Department, students and faculty of various elementary and middle schools, the Framingham High School Environmental Awareness Club and the Sustainability Committee.

Parents and families are encouraged to attend to learn about opportunities to improve their sustainability and the next steps that they can take to help reduce the community’s carbon footprint. Food and drinks provided.
