FRAMINGHAM – Staples, which has its worldwide headquarters in Framingham, plans to close its retail location in the City of Framingham in June.

Staples retail store in Framingham is located in the Trader Joe’s/Walgreens plaza on Route 9 west. (659 Worcester Road).

The store plans to close in mid-June.

The retailer is recommending customers visit their Natick location at the intersection of Route 9 and 27.

Staples sold itself to the private equity firm Sycamore Partners in 2017 for $6.9 billion.

The company has its headquarters at 500 Staples Drive in Framingham.
