FRAMINGHAM – Today, April 1, when a knife went missing from the cafeteria at an elementary school in Framingham, a “shelter in place” was issued and student backpacks were checked.

The knife was reported missing around 10 a.m. from the King Elementary School kitchen.

In an abundance of caution, the Framingham Public Schools Director of Safety & Security issued a “shelter in place” so school administration could “check the backpacks of all students.”

The knife was not found.
