HOLLISTON – Michael L. Ablondi, 68 of Holliston passed away at his home after a period of declining health. 

Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Louis and Marion (Catani) Ablondi. 

Michael served his country honorably in the US Coast Guard from 1973-78. 

He was a history buff, very intelligent, and enjoyed politics. 

He loved spending time with his grandkids, visiting family in Myrtle Beach and vacationing in the White Mountains.  Michael loved to play on his vintage guitars and enjoyed listening to music, especially the Beatles. 

He was an avid coin and stamp collector, enjoyed watching Nascar races, all Boston sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots, and loved trips and roller coaster rides at Canobie Lake Park.

Michael is survived by his children; Caroline Dutton and her husband Greg of Webster, MA, the late Tracy Lewis and her husband Charles of Conway, SC, the late Michael Louis Ablondi Jr, and Joseph Ablondi and his wife Jenna of Myrtle Beach, SC, his friend and former wife, Beverly Hebert of Myrtle Beach, SC, sisters, Sharon Ablondi, Annalise Haskell and her husband Richard, and Caroline Ablondi, five grandchildren, Francesca, CJ, Sarah, Samantha, and Rylie, five great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Leon, Leland, Cole, and Trace, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunt and uncle who will miss him.  He will be remembered as Poppy, Grampa, and Grumpy.

 Services are private.
