MARLBOROUGH – William Turner Davis of Hudson (formerly Marlborough) passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on March 7, 2022, from Alzheimer’s Disease.  

Bill was predeceased by his wife Elaine (Tanguay) Davis (married in 1982) and his twin brother John Kennedy Davis who both passed away in 2017.

Born in Richmond, Virginia, Bill spent many of his years in southern California.  He joined the United States Marine Corp. in 1968 and fought in the Vietnam War earning three service medals.  After Vietnam, he earned a master’s degree from San Diego State University where he met Elaine.

Bill was a Rams season ticket holder and an avid football and golf fan. Bill and Elaine moved to Marlborough where Bill worked as a software engineer and Elaine ran an antiques business.

He was immersed in, and fulfilled by, his life at First Church in Marlborough (Congregational) where he was a deacon and a member of Men’s Fellowship (as the chaplain). He was devoted to First Church where the members became his family and adopted him over the last five years.  One of his greatest loves in life were his dogs, especially his beloved Annie.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at First Church in Marlborough, 37 High Street, Marlborough.

A reception will follow in Parish Hall.  Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, MA 02532, will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11:15 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Deacons Fund at First Church or the Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue,110 Chapin Road, Hudson, MA  01749, would have been greatly appreciated by Bill.
