WELLESLEY – Construction will resume for the replacement of the bridge that carries the Framingham/Worcester Line over Bacon Street in Wellesley between Natick Center and Wellesley Square, starting March 21.

Construction on the Bacon Street bridge began on March 26, 2021.

The bridge superstructure has been installed, and work on the roadway and sidewalk will be complete by summer 2022, said the MBTA.

During the work, a detour will take place on Bacon traffic. A signed detour route will be established.

Work will last 6 to 8 weeks and be weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
