NATICK – The Town of Natick is advertising for a Communication Information Officer (CIO). 

The CIO will oversee agency-wide communications and media related functions. for the Town of Natick.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, well-organized self-starter with excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills who enjoys public and community interactions. Ability to relate to audiences with multiple dimensions of diversity and work collaboratively with peers is essential.

The CIO reports to the Town Administrator and will direct the implementation of an integrated communications strategy for the Town, incorporating media broadcasts, written materials, and social media trends and applications.

The CIO will lead the public records request functions for the Town, including responding to requests for information.

The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating data points, formulating concise responses for diverse audiences within different formats and platforms and the proven ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Position requires a Bachelors’ Degree in Communications, English, or a related field plus minimum of four years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. 

This position is a Grade 3 of the Personnel Board Pay Plan.  The mid salary range for this position is $72,000-$85,000, depending on qualifications and experience, and includes a lucrative benefits package, including health, dental, life insurance, long term disability, and a defined contribution retirement plan.
