NATICK – Warren Custer Childs, III, of Natick passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday February 25, 2022 at age 65.

Born in Chicago IL, he was the son of Leona Ruth (Munson) of Park Ridge IL, and the late Warren Custer Childs, Jr.  Warren was the beloved husband of Janice L. (Reeves) Childs of Natick, and the devoted father of Kelsey Cournoyer and her husband Kieran of Framingham, and Matthew Childs of Natick.  He was the brother of Richard Childs and his companion Jane Svejnoha of Des Plaines IL, and Christopher Childs of Phoenix AZ; son in-law of Lane Reeves, Jr. and Mary Lou Reeves, brother in-law of Susan Reeves, and Joseph Reeves III and his wife Allison, all of Savannah GA.  Warren is survived by nieces and nephews Jason, Justin and his wife Brittany, Shannon and her husband Jose, Lane IV,  Waverly and her husband Wes. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and many cousins. He also leaves behind his many pets and grand-dogs.

He attended Maine East High School in Park Ridge, IL, Cornell University in Ithaca NY for his undergraduate and University of Illinois Dental School.

He also conducted research at Northwestern University and completed his Periodontal Specialty at Harvard University. 

After his studies, he began practicing periodontics in the Boston area and raised his family in Natick.

His many hobbies included gardening, whiskey collecting, spending time with family and friends and relaxing in his hammock. He was an avid animal lover, and his dog Maggie was always by his side. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street in Natick on Tuesday March 1, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m.

A graveside service will be held at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd PA.
