MARLBOROUGH – Marie J. (Spinazzola) Roux-Cheetham, 68, of Marlborough, , passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Marlborough Hospital, with her beloved companion of 22 years, Jerry Donovan, by her side.
Marie is also survived by her daughter, Marie Alaina Flanagan and her husband Michael of Dracut, MA and her grandchildren, Logan Flanagan, Owen Flanagan and Michaela Flanagan, her niece, Amanda Spinazzola and nephew, Bret Spinazzola. She was predeceased by her 2 brothers, Raymond Spinazzola and her twin, John Spinazzola and her nephew, Todd Spinazzola.
Marie was born in Framingham, , on December 7, 1953, a daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Manzi) Spinazzola.
She was raised in Ashland, where she graduated from high school.
She eventually settled in Marlborough, where she has resided for the past 27 years and worked as the executive director of the Addiction Referral Program (ARC) of Marlborough. Throughout the years Marie helped many people in the community get help with addiction recovery and received many awards and recognitions for her dedicated hard work.
Marie also had many hobbies and interests which included knitting and crocheting, taking trips to the casinos and cheering for the other love of her life Tom Brady. Marie also loved animals, especially her chihuahua, “Gina”. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5 at Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough.
A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
