FRAMINGHAM – Barbara Roberto, 82, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born on November 14, 1939 in Wakefield and lived most of her life in Framingham.

She was a hard-working woman and she raised her family working for 25 years as a waitress at the Eagles in Framingham where she was so loved, people would wait to be seated at her tables even if other tables were available.

Barbara went on to be the manager at Interfaith Terrace apartments in Framingham for several years, then customer service manager at Shaws in Ashland and various other jobs before retiring.

Barbara is survived by her daughters Dawn Heffron of Ashland and Joanne Brita of Ashford CT. Her sisters Marianne Arnold of Franklin MA, and Joan Guglielmo of Medway.  She also leaves her nine grandchildren who she loved more than life itself. Chad Stone, Michelle Ashley and Tiffani Heffron, Danielle Alex and Amy Brita, and Shelby and Hunter Roberto.  She was the best Nana and they will miss her more than words can say.

She also will be missed by many nieces and nephews who she always held dear and who will always lovingly refer to her as Auntie Barb. She was predeceased by her beloved son Keith Roberto.  She also recently lost her sister Jean Surette from Peabody.

Barbara was also loved and will be missed by her neighbors and friends.  She will be remembered for her feisty nature, quick wit, great sense of humor, crazy laugh and big smile. Once you met her you could never forget her.

Family and friends will honor and remember Barbara’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Sunday, February 27 from 12 ~ 2p.m.

Interment will be private.
