FRAMINGHAM – Pearle Arlette Ludwig, of San Bernardino, California, was born on February 23, 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts, the eldest child of Stanley and Norma Densmore. She died on January 29, 2022.

Pearle lived in Framingham, Massachusetts at Waveney Farm through elementary and high school.

After graduating from college at Framingham State University and receiving her Master of Education, she moved to California to teach in San Bernardino.

Pearle married Glen Ludwig, the love of her life for over 61 years, on November 20, 1960.

Over the years she helped Glen with his many business ventures but was always a teacher at heart. She loved teaching. It was “her happiness.” Pearle taught elementary school at Parkside and Arrowhead until her retirement.

Upon retirement, Pearle continued working with students at the Learning Center at Belvedere Elementary School with her dear friend, Olga, and supervised student teachers for California State University.

She also was the author of a professional book on teaching, Excellence for Kids, as well as several children’s books. One was titled Safari, inspired after returning from a safari in Kenya, Africa with Glen.

Pearle also volunteered at the Humane Society teaching groups of children about wildlife with bears being her favorite topic. She always had a love for animals and numerous pets. Pearle enjoyed traveling with Glen on their yearly trips to Hawaii, Jackson, Wyoming and Exira, Iowa to celebrate the 4th of July with family. She loved to entertain at her home and welcomed all graciously. Pearle decorated model homes for Glen’s development business in Arizona and enjoyed spending time there with him.

Pearle touched so many lives. She was faith filled and devoted to her family, friends and students. She gave of her time freely, always helping those in need. Pearle always made each of us feel special, seeing the good in everyone. She was loving, generous, fun loving and kind. Our timeless and ageless dear Pearle will forever be in our hearts. She will live on in our memories and hearts! Pearle is survived by her devoted husband, Glen Ludwig, her sisters-in-law, Nadine Ludwig and Jan Ludwig, and many nieces and nephews.
