FRAMINGHAM – P. Spencer Edmands, III, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2022, at the age of 68. Everyone knew him as Spence, except grandson Tanner to whom he was proudly Papa.

After graduating from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in 1971 and attending Middlesex Community College in Bedford, his work life was in the automotive industry where he nurtured his passion for cars, especially Mustangs.  He was known to be able to diagnose and fix anything wrong with a vehicle.

His preferred life, however, was fixing things at the family’s beloved island cottage in Harvard, where he could retreat to boating, water skiing, family gatherings, keeping a weather journal, putting on the unique mini-golf course, and puttering to keep the 150-plus-year-old Loon Lodge alive and welcoming.

Spence’s life will be celebrated and remembered on the island this summer, and always.  Spence’s daughter Christina Edmands (Scott Wilson), grandson Tanner S. Wilson, sister Candi Contento (Steve Contento), niece Jessie Contento (Jeff Frost), nephew Chris Contento (Christina Contento), his two great nephews and great niece, stepson Matt Archer (Jess Archer), and a multitude of extended family and friends will miss his quirky sense of humor, his ability to make friends wherever he went, and his selfless generosity to give his time and talent to anyone and everyone.

Spence always had a dog or cat by his side or on his lap, and in that spirit, his family has requested that contributions in his memory be given to Buddy Dog Humane Society in Sudbury, (buddydoghs.com).

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, Framingham.
