FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public School district reported 25 new COVID cases on February 2. There were 20 new cases reported on February 1.
It is unknown if the 25 cases are all students, staff, or a combination of both. The district does not separate that number in its dashboard.
January had the highest number of cases in the school district since the pandemic began in 2020.
For the month of January, the public school district’s dashboard reported 1,748 COVID cases in the school district since January 1, 2022, which is about 75% of all cases this school year.
On January 10, the district reported a record, one-day high of 148 new cases, as the Omicron variant was surging. It now appears to be waning.
The district is now reporting 2,389 total COVID cases during the 2021-2022 school year through yesterday.
There are just roughly 9,300 students in the school district.

The district reported 6 new COVID cases at Fuller Middle School.
Five new cases were reported at McCarthy Elementary.
Three cases were each reported at Framingham High and Walsh Middle.
Two cases were reported at BLOCKS preschool and two cases at Brophy Elementary.
One new case was reported at the Farley administration building.
One case was reported at the following schools: Hemenway, King, and Potter Road.

Framingham High School leads the school district with 572 cases, during the 2021-22 school year. There are roughly 2,400 student at the high school.
Walsh Middle School is reporting 227 cases this school year.
There have been 187 COVID cases at Cameron Middle this school year.
Eleven schools have recorded more than 100 cases each this school year.
