FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High School graduation traditionally has been on the first Sunday afternoon in June, or at least for the last dozen years.

But this year, graduation is moving to Friday night.

The Class of 2022 was surveyed and a “majority of students/families are in favor of a Friday evening graduation.”

One of the reason the survey was held was due to the “significant health emergencies for some family members and guests during graduations” on hot summer Sunday afternoons.

Due to the survey, the new graduation date for the Class of 2022 is now Friday, June 3 at 6 p.m. at Bowditch Field.

According to DESE, there are about 540 students in the Class of 2022.
