FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public School district reported just 15 new COVID cases on Thursday, January 27. The 15 new cases are one of the lowest one-day total this month.
It is unknown if the 15 cases are all students, staff, or a combination of both. The district does not separate that number in its dashboard.
On January 10, the district reported a record, one-day high of 148 new cases, as the Omicron variant was surging. It now appears to be waning.
The district is now reporting 2,204 total COVID cases during the 2021-2022 school year. There are just under 10,000 students in the school district.

Last week, there were 510 cases reported in the Framingham Public Schools, which is more than 36% of all cases reported during the 2021-2022 school year.
Students and staff returned back to the classrooms on Monday, January 3, after the winter holiday vacation break.
There have been exactly 1608 cases in the school district since January 1, 2022, which is about 73% of all cases this school year.
Today the district reported 4 new COVID cases at Walsh Middle Schools
There were 3 new COVID-19 cases reported at both Fuller Middle and King Elementary.
Two new cases were reported at Framingham High.

One case was reported at the following schools: Barbieri and Potter Road elementary schools.
One new case was reported at the Farley administration building, bringing the total cases there to 39.
Framingham High School leads the school district with 549 cases, during the 2021-22 school year. There are roughly 2,400 student at the high school.
Walsh Middle School is second with 199 cases.
Cameron has had 171 cases.
Barbieri has 150 cases this school year.
Eleven schools have recorded more than 100 cases each this school year.
