FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public School district reported 55 new COVID cases today, January 24.

The district is now reporting a total of 2,095 total cases this school year. There are just under 10,000 students in the public school district.

It is unknown if the 55 cases are all students, staff, or a combination of both. The district does not separate that number in its dashboard.

On January 10, the district reported a record, one-day high of 148 new cases, as the Omicron variant was surging. It now appears to be waning.

Last week, there were 510 cases reported in the Framingham Public Schools, which is more than 36% of all cases reported during the 2021-2022 school year.

Students and staff returned back to the classrooms on Monday, January 3, after the winter holiday vacation break.

There have been exactly 1,500 cases in the school district since January 1, 2022, which is about 75% of all cases this school year.

Today the district reported 10 new COVID cases at Framingham High and 10 new cases at Hemenway Elementary School.

Eight new cases were reported at Walsh Middle School

Four cases were reported at King Elementary and three cases at Cameron Middle.

two cases were reported at the following schools: Stapleton, McCarthy, & Potter Road

One case each was reported at Dunning & Harmony Grove elementary.

Framingham High School leads the school district with 531 cases, during the 2021-22 school year. There are roughly 2,400 student at the high school.

Walsh Middle School is second with 187 cases.

Cameron has had 168 cases.

Ten of the district’s schools have reported cases in the triple digits.

Farley administration building has had 37 cases.
