FRAMINGHAM – Back on the ice after the holiday break, the Flyers traveled to Methuen High School and jumped out to an early lead when sophomore defenseman Alix Russo took a shot from the point and freshman Maggie Robinson was able to get a piece of it to redirect the puck into the net to take a 1-0 lead.

Junior Mason Puumala was also credited with an assist on the play.

In the second period, the Flyers took advantage of a power play opportunity, and Puumala worked the puck to the slot, where Robinson put home her second of the game. Junior Molly Clark also picked up an assist for her efforts, helping to put the Flyers up 2-0.

Clark decided to jump in on the fun herself, notching a rebound goal later in the second period, with an assist to junior Amber Welch.

It was all Methuen-Tewksbury in the third period, as they rallied back to tie the game at 3 with just under 5 minutes to go.

Following a back and forth four vs four 5-minute overtime period, the score remained 3-3.

Freshman Liz Luong was stellar in net, providing the Flyers with 37 saves.

The Flyers are now 1-1-1 overall, and will look ahead to January 5, when Walpole High comes to town for a 4:50 p.m. Bay State Conference matchup at Loring Arena.
