FRAMINGHAM – Roughly 300 children living at the Framingham Housing Authority received early Christmas gifts this week thanks to the Authority, United Way of Tri-County, and the U.S. Marines Toys For Tots program.

The annual holiday toy drive helps about 300 kids, said Framingham Housing Authority Resident Services Director Keegan Hersey. “The event is made possible by hard work and generous donations from the United Way of Tri-County and Toys for Tots.”

Toys were distributed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

“Great work, great effort by the resident services team. Keegan, Ryan (Carey), and Suzanne (Garcia) did a great job bringing joy to so many kids,” said Framingham Housing Authority Executive Director Paul Landers.

That team also provided a list of names to the Framingham Police Department so resident seniors could get a meal this week, added Landers about his resident services team.
