NORTON – The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for most of Massachusetts today, December 11 starting around 1 p.m. through Sunday morning, December 12 at 5 a.m.

Winds gusts of 15 to 25 miles per hour are expected, some gusts could be as high as 45 miles per hour.

This is the same series of storms that is causing tornadoes.

More than 30 tornadoes were reported across six states: Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi and Tennessee.

At least 50 people are likely dead after multiple tornadoes barreled through southwestern Kentucky late Friday. Other deaths have been reported in Arkansas and Illinois.

Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
