FRAMINGHAM – The 2021 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Champion Framingham State University football team has placed four players on the D3football.com All-Region 1 Team as announced today, December 8, by D3football.com. 

Freshman guard Bryan Lawton (Maynard) and senior defensive end Joshua Onujiogu (Wareham) have been selected to the second team offense and second team defense, while sophomore running back Devaun Ford (Mashpee) and junior center Jack Canney (Natick) have been selected to the third team offense.

The teams, selected in balloting by Region 1 sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 197 nominations by full Division III member schools.

A total of 79 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors which will be announced the evening of December 17th during D3football.com’s pregame coverage for the Stagg Bowl. 

The NCAA realigned Division III football into six regions in 2021. Region 1 includes the Commonwealth Coast Conference, Eastern Collegiate Football Conference, MASCAC, Middle Atlantic Conference, New England Small College Athletic Conference and New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference. 

The 2021 Rams finished the season with an 8-3 record and a perfect 8-0 mark in the MASCAC.
