FRAMINGHAM – Philip R. Gallagher, Jr., 68 of Framingham, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Born in Cambridge, he was the beloved son of the late Philip R. & Florence (Foley) Gallagher.

Philip was a graduate of Boston College High School and Bentley College.

He went on to become the third generation owner in his family’s roofing and sheet metal business, JF Gallagher & Sons. Philip always preferred a hug to a handshake and took great pride in the presence of his sons.

Philip is survived by his loving family, his wife, Mary A. (Roche), his sons, Gregory and Patrick, his devoted sister, Patsy Amencowicz of Cambridge, and twin sisters, Lynda Gallagher of Cambridge and Diane Casey of Billerica, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will remember Philip’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham, on Friday, December 10, from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

His funeral Mass will follow in St. Bridget Church, 830 Worcester Road in Framingham at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery in West Roxbury.
