CAMBRIDGE – The Framingham State men’s soccer team exploded for five second half goals en route to a 6-1 victory over Lesley University in non-conference action Tuesday evening in Cambridge.  

Framingham State is now 5-10-1

Lesley is still winless 0-13-1

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • Sherak Ayamga (Tuma, Ghana) scored the first Framingham goal in the 11th minute off a pass from Ibrahim Kyeyune (Kampala, Uganda) which would be the only score of the first half. 
  • Gabriel Padilla (Framingham) scored two quick goals in succession in the 48th minute with assists coming from Kyeyune and Kunphel Sinha (Darjeeling, India).  
  • Kyeyune got on the board in the 67th minute with a helper from Jeffson Malachie (Port-au-Prince, Haiti). 
  • The Lynx finally countered a minute later when Ian Charles scored an unassisted goal to make it 4-1. 
  • The Rams would score two goals over the final 20 minutes to reach the final margin. In the 73rd minute Ayamga scored again with an assist coming from Alefe Oliveira (Inhapim, Brazil). In the 82nd minute Nic Santos (Concord) scored with Malachie again assisting.

  • Rams goalkeeper James Hartshorn (Chelmsford) made three saves in the win for Framingham. 
  • Josiah Williams turned away eight attempts in net for the Lynx.  
  • The Rams led the contest in shots 19-to-12 while only earning four corner kicks to the host’s seven.  

UP NEXT: The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Worcester State in MASCAC action starting at 11 a.m.
