FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham high school boys varsity soccer team beat Wellesley 2-0 today, September 29, at Framingham High School.
Framingham is now 5-0-1, under head coach Dan Avery.
The Flyers scored two early goals and protected the lead for the remainder of the game, saod Coach Jon Wood.
The first goal was scored on a penalty kick taken by junior forward Christian Martins. He drew a foul in the penalty area and was awarded the kick, said Coach Wood.

The second goal came soon after on a corner kick by Martins. Junior captain Jack Carney headed the delivery on goal and it was put in by junior Gilberto Morales, said Coach Wood.
Defensively captains John Halpin and Ben Sharon were solid in the middle and enabled junior goalie Tyler Ingham to record the shutout, said Coach Wood.
Sophomore midfielder Brendan Walker played an excellent two way game, said Coach Wood.
The Flyers play at home on Thursday, September 30 vs Walpole at 3:45 p.m.
