WOONSOCKET, RHODE ISLAND – Janet Ellen Titus, 65, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island passed away at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket on Monday, September, 6, 2021.
Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Ingalls) and Clyde Rice. She was the beloved wife of 44 years to Gregory Titus.
A 1974 graduate of Bellingham High School, Janet went on to graduate from Eastern Nazarene College in 1978, where she met and dated Greg for three years prior to their marriage. Janet worked for 22 years at CVS in Woonsocket as an order picker.
She also taught Sunday School at Bethany Assembly of God in Mendon and the First Congregational Church in Hopkinton, MA.
Besides her husband, Janet is survived by four children, Eric Titus of Bellingham, Andrew Titus and his wife, Katie of Smithfield, RI, Cherie Svannson and her husband, Jeffrey of Woonsocket, and Holly Titus of Woonsocket. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Anne-Marie, Claire, Cecilia, and Felicity Dancause; her brother, David Rice of Bellingham, and sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn Hurlbut and her husband, Ted of Simpsonville, SC, Gary Titus and his wife, Karen, David Titus and his wife, Sandra, all of Endicott, NY, Peggie Webb and her husband, Rev. Steven Webb of San Diego, CA, Emory Titus III and his wife, Renee of Endicott, NY, Richard Titus and his wife, Carolyn of Greene, NY, and James Titus of Binghamton, NY.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe Street. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home on Monday, September 13 at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
