ASHLAND – Margaret Norton, 89, of Ashland passed away Sunday Sept. 5, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late James and Blanche (Hayes) Harold.
Peggy was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Norton who died in Jan. 2021. They were happily married for 67 years.
Peggy worked as a registered nurse for many years before retiring to raise her family.
She is survived by five children; Joe (Angela) Norton, Jim (Jane) Norton, Mary (Nick) Rediess, Jeff (Karen) Norton, and Mike Norton, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday Sept. 9th at 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia’s Parish, 54 Esty Street in Ashland, with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street Ashland
