BOSTON – The Framingham State University men’s cross country team returned to racing for the first time since 2019 and placed 8th at the Suffolk Short Course Classic at Franklin Park this afternoon, September 3.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • The Rams top finished was freshman Patrick Walsh (Lynnfield) who navigated the 5K course in a time of 17:21, which was good enough to cross the line 24th.

  • Junior Kevin Durant (Lynn) and sophomore PJ Pharmer (Peru) followed for the Rams crossing just a second apart at 18:51 and 18:52 respectively.
  •  Sophomore Manny Miranda (West Springfield) was the fourth Ram to complete the course at 19:54, while the duo of sophomores Cullen Lancaster (Mansfield) and Miguel Torres (Milford) followed at 21:01 and 21:29 to round out the top six for the Rams.

UP NEXT: The Rams are idle next week but back on the course in two weeks when they travel to UMass Dartmouth.
