FRAMINGHAM – Phyllis Violet Ferrazzi, 93, a longtime resident of Framingham, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at UMass Memorial Hospital in Marlborough.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dominic Ferrazzi (2015), to whom she was married for 62 years. 

Born in Waltham, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose (Yafrate) Baldassini. 

She was employed at Framingham Savings Bank for 23 years, retiring to care for her mother, Rose. 

Phyllis is survived by her sister, Jeannette Gibbs of Marlboro, and was also the sister of the late Robert Yafrate of Franklin, TN. Phyllis is also survived by her children, Louis Ferrazzi and his wife Shelley from Sellersburg, IN, and her son Michael Ferrazzi and his wife Kathryn of Framingham and Yarmouth Port, her grandchildren, Jason, Taylor and Richard Ferrazzi, and great grandchildren Gabriele and Eloise Ferrazzi. 

She adored her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of Phyllis’ greatest joys was sending carefully selected and heartfelt greeting cards to family and friends, whether at holiday time, birthdays or just because she cared.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation with family at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, (corner of Union Ave.) Framingham on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass at the St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St, Framingham, MA at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Framingham. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis’s memory can be made to the Framingham Heart Study, 73 Mt Wayte Ave., Framingham, MA 01702.
