FRAMINGHAM – Police officers arrested a Framingham man after he struck another man with a stick in downtown Framingham over the weekend.

Police responded to a report of an assault at 90 Irving Street on Sunday, August 8 at 2:47 p.m.

Officer later arrested at 3:26 p.m. at Columbia & South Street Thomas Galvin, 58, with no known address.

Galvin was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon

“These two parties are known to each other,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. rachel Mickens.

“Galvin struck the victim with a stick,” said Lt. Mickens. “The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.” The victim was taken to MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham for treatment.
