FRAMINGHAM – I am pleased to announce that I am seeking a third term as the Framingham School Committee member for District 7. It has been a great honor and privilege to serve the district in this role for the past 3.5 years.

This term, I served as the Vice-chair of the School Committee, as Chair of the Policy Subcommittee, member of the Finance & Operations Subcommittee, and as a member of the Teaching and Learning subcommittee, and warrant signer. I also served as liaison to the Census Complete Count Committee, the Special Education Parent Advisory Council, the Dual Language Parent Advisory Council, and the PTO liaison for Walsh and McCarthy.

This term has been both challenging and rewarding as we were faced with the global pandemic. It caused us to rethink everything we knew about public education and challenged our district in ways we never anticipated. I am proud of the district’s response, while not perfect, it was done under the most impossible circumstances public education has seen in decades. I want to especially thank the teachers, staff, students, and families for their resilience, ingenuity, compassion, commitment, and heart. I also know that our work is far from over, and our commitment is critical.

If re-elected, I will continue to work diligently and tirelessly to ensure the success of our district and will not stop my fierce support of our students, teachers and staff, parents, and community stakeholders. I will continue to dedicate my energy and efforts to student achievement – both academically and social-emotionally, Special Education and diversity issues, consistent communication, supporting pandemic recovery efforts, taking care of our school buildings, improving transportation, and being fiscally responsible.

I look forward to continuing our collaborative work to meet the concerns of District 7 and the needs of our students and schools.

Please call me at 508-808-2641 or email me at dtmaskell@yahoo.com if you would like to talk about any issue.

Tiffanie Maskell
