Gloria A. Blizard, 78

FRAMINGHAM – Gloria A. Blizard, 78 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, formerly of Framingham passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital.

Mrs. Blizard was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family. When her children were young, she and her husband, Donald loved to take them on camping trips with other family and friends. In more recent years, Donald would often take her on vacations in Florida.

She was a member of The Moose Lodge in Hattiesburg and looked forward to her Tuesday night bingo games every week. She also enjoyed watching “Days of Our Lives” and I.D. TV (Investigation Discovery).She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Irving and Patricia Young; her mother, Beatrice Butler; her brother, Donald Young; and her sister, Donna McLaughlin.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald Blizard of Hattiesburg, MS; 5 children, Marlene Jackson (Dave) of Framingham, Donald Blizard, Jr. (Rosana) of Vero Beach, FL, Kevin Blizard (fiancé, Barbara Stephenson) of Merrimac, MA, Michele Grantham (John) of Hattiesburg, MS, and Stacey Easterling (Todd) of Webster, MA; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; her sister, Ramona Young of Augusta, ME; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street in Natick on Friday July 30 at 10:30am.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne at 1:15 p.m.

Visiting Hours Thursday July 29 from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
