FRAMINGHAM – A kitchen fire in a bakery in downtown Framingham early Sunday morning caused $2,000 worth of damage, said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

About 1:45 a.m. on July 18, Engine 5, Engine 3, Ladder 3, Rescue 1 & Car 2 responded to 165 Concord Street for a fire.

On arrival firefighters saw flames in the kitchen area of Padaria Brasil Bakery, said Chief Dutcher.

“Door was forced open and firefighters advanced for a quick knockdown of a stove top fire,” said Chief Dutcher.

“Damage was held to a minimum, approximately $2,000,” said Chief Dutcher. “Good stop by Group 3.”
