FRAMINGHAM – Police arrested a Franmingham man early Monday morning, June 28, on mayhem and assault & battery with a dangerous weapon charge.

At 3:07 a.m. Police were called to 54 Gilbert Street for an assault.

At 4:14 a.m. Police arrested Carlos Mongon, 34, of 56 Pine Street of Framingham, He was charged with mayhem and assault & battery with a dangerous weapon( beer bottle)

The victim was attending a party at 54 Gilbert Street, according to police.

At some point Mongon is alleged to have struck the victim in the face with a beer bottle and then kicked the victim in the face, said Framingham Police spokesperson Sgt. Rachel Mickens.

“The victim suffered a serious laceration under the eye,” said Sgt. Mickens
