FRAMINGHAM – A tree fell and took down multiple wires, knocking out power to more than 1,200 customers in South Framingham and Ashland this afternoon, June 27.

Power went out just before 3 p.m. for more than 1,000 in Ashland and the Tripoli neighborhood in Framingham.

Eversource originally estimated power back on about 5:45 p.m.

The Fay Road neighborhood had powered restored by about 3:30 p.m.

Rep. Jack Patrick Lewis, who represents Ashland said at 4:30 p.m. about 380 customers in Ashland still impacted, and all but about 30+ will be restored soon when Eversource switches to another circuit.

The remaining 30+ will be without power for another 3-4 hours, while repairs are made, said Rep. Lewis.

Crew are en route to that area, he said Eversource told him.
