FRAMINGHAM – Framingham firefighters received a call this afternoon, June 4, to rescue a Rat Terrier dog from the Farm Pond area, behind the skatepark, according to the fire chief.

A gentleman was out walking his dog, when it started to chase a woodchuck, and the dog got stuck in a pipe at the pond, said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

The dog was about 20 to 25 feet into pipe, said the fire chief.

Firefighters “dug out the pipe and the dog ran out the other end,” said Chief Dutcher.

“It was a happy end for the dog and its owner,” said the fire chief.
