SUDBURY – The Wayside Inn Foundation is offering the first of its “Time Travelers” drop-off summer youth programs, on Saturday, June 19 from 10:30 a.m. to noon with a special Juneteenth program.

Participants (ages 6 and up) will learn about the history of Juneteenth through a read-aloud, reflection and journaling activity, and craft project. The program includes a picnic lunch of mac & cheese bites, strawberry jam tea sandwiches, red velvet cupcakes, and red
punch.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and became an official holiday in Massachusetts in July 2020. It will be observed officially for the first time this year.

The program costs $25 per participant, and registration is limited to 10 children.
