FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Flyers won their first track meet of the season yesterday, May 19, against the Wildcats of the Milton High at Bowditch Field.
The boys outdoor track & field team won 83-48.
“What a fantastic day at Bowditch,” said coach Ed Crowley. “A top to bottom TEAM effort for both the boys and girls teams to best Milton today. Both sides broke through A.P. exams, the heat, some nagging injuries, some new events, and well-coached competition to claim victory.”
Senior captain Sam Moffat won the 2 mile event and c”oming right back to run a solid leg of the 4X400 team,” said Crowley.
In the 1 mile, “a fantastic win for Jordan Book,” said Crowley. “Being led by teammates and a will to win to secure and lead a dominant distance squad on the day.”

“Flyers were locked in from start to finish in this meet and cheered everyone on to a fantastic result! All coaches debated throughout the week for how to properly position the team for success and what worked in the end was really just every athlete putting their best effort. The positive energy from the team was palpable throughout the entire meet and we couldn’t be prouder with how everyone conducted themselves. Our best performances are yet to come,” said Crowley.
Next up for the Flyers is Bay State Conference rival Natick High.
